Alabama defensive back Daniel Wright ejected for targeting vs. LSU football

Alabama defensive back Daniel Wright was ejected for targeting in the second quarter of Saturday night's game against LSU football. 

Leading with his helmet, Wright hit LSU receiver Jaray Jenkins in the head with 12:48 left in the second quarter. 

Jenkins laid on the field for a while and was helped to the medical tent after a delay in the game. 

Wright had three tackles before his ejection. Alabama led 28-7 at the time of Wright's ejection.

Since his ejection happened in the first half, Wright will be eligible to return for the entire Alabama vs. Arkansas football game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12. 

Alabama defeated LSU 55-17 on Saturday. 

LSU went to 3-5 overall and 3-5 in the SEC. The Alabama Crimson Tide, ranked No. 1 in the Amway Coaches Poll, improved to 9-0 overall and 9-0 in the SEC. 

After Saturday, Alabama leads the all-time series 54-26-5 against LSU.
